Sun mascot Harry Mane roars to Berlin to be proud of our lionesses ahead of the European Championship final

SUN mascot Harry Mane roared into the heart of Germany yesterday to show his pride in our lionesses ahead of tomorrow’s European Championship final.
Our lucky lion greeted our heroes in the backyard of our old soccer opponents.

Cheering on the England women, hot favorites who will take their first silverware against Germany at Wembley Stadium, Harry strode downtown yesterday to pose in front of the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin.
Our mischievous mascot yelled It’s Coming Home in front of hundreds of people at the 18th-century monument before playing football around the place.
Harry also stole the show from the local street performers – as will our lionesses tomorrow – by running and singing about their performance as they played Chariots of Fire out of a loudspeaker.
He even won over famous humorless Germans who, after his antics, were eager to be pictured and play football with him.

Harry had previously visited the Berlin TV Tower and the Hofbräu Wirtshaus to wet his pipe with a mug of beer alongside two waitresses – who trembled in their Bavarian boots at the crunch tie.
Waitress Rebecca Most, 30, said: “The Lionesses have been great so it’s going to be a tough game.
“Of course we’ll be cheering for Germany but unfortunately I think we could fight England. I’ll keep my fingers crossed.”
