All funds raised will be donated to the British Red Cross for a major local mobilization.
Red Crescent workers are already distributing essentials like food, water, blankets and makeshift shelters to support survivors who spent the night outdoors in freezing temperatures.
Traumatized people are also supported.
Mike Adamson, Chief Executive of the British Red Cross, said: “The level of destruction caused by these earthquakes was devastating.
“Right now the main thing is to rescue people from the rubble.
“Your donations will support search and rescue missions on the ground – and provide vital assistance to those who need it most.
“We thank the Sun readers for their kind support.
“Everything you give makes a difference.”
