‘Strong possibility’ Aaron Donald could retire if Rams win Super Bowl – CBS Pittsburgh

LOS ANGELES (KDKA) – Could Super Bowl 56 be the last game in the NFL for Pittsburgh native Aaron Donald?

During the pregnancy show, former Patriot television analyst Rodney Harrison hinted that it could happen.

“He’s huge on legacy and he doesn’t want to be known as a defender who’s accomplished a lot personally but never won the Super Bowl,” Harrison said. “But he also told me this, if he wins the Super Bowl, there’s a good chance he could leave the game and retire.”

Donald was awarded 13th place in the 2014 draft by the Rams after four seasons at Pitt, scoring 115 solo tackles, 29.5 pitches and six forced fumbles.
The former Penn Hills player has been a Pro Bowl player in all eight of his NFL seasons, a seven-time professional all-rounder and three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year award, edging out Lawrence Taylor and JJ Watt.
While he may be contemplating retirement, he remains motivated as he has scored 12.5 tackles, 19 tackles conceded and 25 quarterback hits this past season.

He also lacks 100 sacks for his career.
