ONE of boxing’s most exciting talents is back as Gervonta Davis takes on Rolando Romero in an easy bout this weekend.
Davis last saw action against Isaac Cruz in December, winning a 12-round decision in a fairly competitive bout.
However, Tank’s original opponent was to be Romero, who was pulled from the fight over allegations of sexual assault.
However, the undefeated boxer was acquitted after investigations into the allegations were dropped, with no charges being brought.
Romero is now back in training camp and ready to take on a heated-up Davis desperate to take down his rival.
But Romero also brings his own strength and will do everything to cause a stir in the lightweight class.

what was said
“We are ready and we were in camp. This isn’t the first time we’ve been gearing up for ‘Rolly’.” Davis said.
“We saw him being swallowed when the lights were on his face. We’ll see how he reacts when everyone cheers for him on fight night.
“Some people are made for it, and some just talk their way through. We know why we are coming here on May 28th.
“We’ll see what this guy brings on fight night under the bright lights. I had to walk out the door when it was time and become the man.
“Come fight night, it’s time to get on that plate.”
Romero added, “I think ‘Tank’ is a great fighter but this will be the easiest fight of my career. It will say a lot about my legacy if I knock him out.
“’Tank’ is often hit. I think he’s going to run straight into something big.
“I’ve always been underestimated. On May 28th you will see my ring IQ on display. He’s the best fighter at 135 pounds and he would be the best if he was 130 pounds. I don’t care. I know what I’m capable of.”
