Star Wars Eclipse may not come out until 2027

We’ll probably revisit that Game Awards trailer for a while.

Year 2021 Game Award at this point quite far in the rearview mirror. However, some of the revelations made during the show will affect the industry for years to come. Some of the larger trailers shown by Geoff Keighley include Sonic Frontiers first look and revealed that a Wonder Woman game in development. One of the other big revelations is Announcement of a brand new Star Wars game, Eclipse.

The cinematic trailer is pretty spectacular, but revealing Giant dream is a studio working on Eclipse that has taken a breather from many viewers in a different way. Quantic Dream has been accused of harboring a toxic work environment, so some are dismayed that it is working on the Star Wars Eclipse. Soon after the trailer aired, people used social media to try to spread the word and inform others of the allegations against the studio.

Reports on the working environment of Quantic Dream have clearly made it difficult for the studio to hire people to work on Eclipse. According to industry insider Tom Henderson, that’s one of the reasons why maybe it will be a while until we can actually play Eclipse. In fact, the game may not be on our shelves and on our consoles until 2027. It’s entirely possible that some of us could play PS6 and whatever. Xbox will come next at that time.

According to Henderson, Eclipse has been in development for 18 months. The game hasn’t progressed too far in that time, so it’s likely that it will need another five years before it ends. Quantic Dream also lacks resources and can be inexperienced when it comes to a game like Eclipse. Its Star Wars The game is supposed to be open-world and have a multiplayer component, both areas in an industry where Quantic Dream has very little experience.

These are very early days for Eclipse, which begs the question why the game was announced? If the past few years have taught us anything, nothing good can come from announcing a game years before it hits the market. CDPR and Square Enix learned that the road is difficult with Cyberpunk 2077 and Marvel’s Avengers, corresponding.
