Staff member stabbed at Watson Institute Education Center in Sewickley – CBS Pittsburgh

SEWICKLEY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KDKA) – A person is believed to have been stabbed at the Watson Institute Education Center in Sewickley Township.

A viewer sent KDKA photos from around 9 a.m. Wednesday showing police at the school.
The dispatcher said one person was armed with a knife and one was stabbed.

A Watson Institute spokesman said a staff member was injured and the school was briefly closed.
“We had an employee injury this morning. It was during regular school bus transfers, and at the time an employee was injured and we immediately adopted our standard lockdown procedures,” said Kara Development Director Mostowy said.
No one else was injured.
“What I want to say to parents is that your child is safe. Our staff acted exactly as taught,” said Mostowy.
