Spurs vs. Trail Blazers LIVE: Victor Wembanyama has a chance to redeem himself but injury prevents a second leg against Scoot Henderson

Wemby has arrived

Victor Wembanyama has finally made his debut with the San Antonio Spurs, finishing the evening with nine points, eight rebounds, five blocks and three assists.

The basket wasn’t the French phenomenon’s friend for most of the evening as he won 2 of 13 from the field – and he was pressured by Kai Jones, the Hornets’ big man.

But he still managed to wow the crowd with some delicious passes and deft off-ball moves.

Meanwhile, Brandon Miller, who was selected second overall in this year’s draft, hit a double-double with 16 points, 11 rebounds, a block and an assist.

Next, the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors will wrap up day one of the 2023 Las Vegas Summer League.

Follow our coverage because we’ll be back for more Wemby action!
