Special forces in Germany have launched a manhunt for two teenagers after they allegedly threatened a teacher with a gun.

The two armed teenagers are said to have fled the scene in Blankenese, Hamburg, after sending panicked students to the barricades.

The Hamburg police said on X: “There are currently indications of a threat situation at the Blankenese high school.”

“Police forces are already on site and are carrying out initial measures.

Police did not provide any information about the source of the danger, but Bild reported that two students threatened a teacher in a classroom, with one pulling out a pistol.

Officers entered the building and students were escorted out.

Parents were asked to go to a nearby barracks where the students were housed.

The area around the school was closed.
