Spanish Football Federation boss Rubiales breaks his silence to blast “idiots” after being convicted of a “disgusting” kiss with the woman star

LUIS RUBIALES has broken his silence after being convicted of kissing Spanish star Jenni Hermoso.
After the 1-0 win over England, the Spanish Football Federation boss was seen grabbing and kissing the Women’s World Cup winner.
As Hermoso accepted her winners’ medal, 45-year-old Rubiales stood next to Fifa President Gianni Infantino and congratulated the players.
But for the kiss, Rubiales received a lot of criticism from viewers, who branded it “disgusting”.
One tweeted: “This guy he’s so gross.”
A second commented: “This is so gross.”
While a third said: “What a heinous act by the President.”
Even Hermoso claimed that she “didn’t enjoy” the Rubiales incident.
However, Rubiales has now called his critics “idiots” and claimed the act was a “minor show of affection”.
He said Radio Marca: “The kiss with Jenni? There are idiots everywhere.”

“When two people show a little affection, we can’t listen to idiocy.
“We are champions and I take it.”
Rubiales also took center stage with his antics as he entered the Spain women’s dressing room after the result.
There he declared that he would pay for a trip to Ibiza and vowed to marry Hermoso.
However, the Spanish team seemed delighted with the statement and could be heard chanting “Ibiza, Ibiza, Ibiza”.
Rubiales has also drawn anger for supporting controversial manager Jorge Vilda.
The Spain manager reportedly banned players from locking their hotel rooms before midnight in 2019 as he wanted to carry out room checks.
He has also been accused of forcing players to reveal the contents of their bags at practice while treating them like “kids”.
Fifteen players boycotted the Spanish side in protest at Vilda last year.
Only three returned for the tournament Down Under this summer.

Vilda remains unpopular despite Spain’s tournament win and is awkwardly snubbed by players during the celebrations.
He too was booed when he accepted his medal.
