A SPACEX intruder caught chasing Elon Musk after breaking into the facility grins in a new mugshot.
Nivea Rose Parker claimed to be a SpaceX employee who wanted to speak to Musk before she was arrested on June 1.
According to the sheriff’s office, the woman, from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was granted entry to the building around 5:30 p.m.
Surveillance footage showed Parker entering the facility.
Cameron County Sheriff Deputy responded to the facility in Brownsville, Texas, where Parker roamed the fifth floor of the No. 1 High Bay building.
According to the sheriff’s office, Parker reportedly knew that her entry to the facility was prohibited and that she was being entered without consent.
She tried to flee on foot but was caught.
Parker was charged with evading arrest, committing criminal trespassing and assaulting an officer.
The 20-year-old is being held in Carrizales-Rucker detention center awaiting trial.
Parker is a Pittsburgh resident. It’s unclear if she traveled from Pennsylvania to try and speak to Musk.
SpaceX has several facilities in addition to the Brownsville complex.
The Brownsville location is close to the Mexico border and the Gulf of Mexico.
Musk, founder and partner of SpaceX, resides primarily in Boca Chica, according to a tweet from June 2021.
Boca Chica is approximately 40 minutes from the Brownsville SpaceX facility.
It is not known if Musk was at the residence when Parker breached the SpaceX complex.
SpaceX is a private American aerospace manufacturer based in California.
It was founded in 2002 with the aim of building affordable rockets and enabling the colonization of Mars.
