‘Someone of them’ – Steve Sidwell urges West Ham to sign ‘young and hungry’ Chelsea player

West Ham United have been urged by Steve Sidwell to sign Armando Broja from Chelsea. The England international believes Broja would be the ideal player to replace Michael Antonio at the London Stadium.
Broja has played well for Southampton this season and the Saints are keen to sign him permanently. They have expressed an interest in keeping the striker after this season, but Chelsea are still unwilling to sell the striker.
Speaking on BT Sport, Sidwell revealed West Ham should find a way to lure Broja to the London Stadium. He claims the striker is hungry for offers but will have no problem playing a second time with Antonio at the moment. When discussing who Chelsea should sign, Sidwell said:
“I love [Armando] Broja. Someone young, hungry – I think he will be there. [He’ll] learn quickly, learn his ropes. He won’t be afraid to play the second season with Antonio and take his chance. Someone of mine, young and hungry. “
Do West Ham United need Chelsea star Armando Broja?
West Ham are interested in signing a striker and they have long sought. Their own striker, Michail Antonio, confirmed the need for another striker after the sale of Seb Haller. He told BBC’s Footballer’s Football Podcast:
“One thing we definitely need is a striker, and the crazy thing is that I’m a striker, so someone will come in and try to take my place. But I like a challenge, I like to have it. someone there pushes me. Even if they take my place, I believe I can get it back. It gives me that hunger and that push. It makes me play better because I need to play well to stay in the team.”
