Srnec is in prison for killing his sister Jasmine Dominic. At the beginning of 2019, Jasmina’s body was found in the freezer. Jasmina Dominić had been missing since 2005, Smiljana Srnec was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
Released for treatment

The decision to suspend the sentence came into force on Tuesday and is valid for three months. According to the doctors, this is how much was needed for her treatment, after which she will have to return to the Požega prison.

It was stipulated that he must report to the police in Čakovec and the probation office in Varaždin once a week. She must also remain at the home address she had before her detention, so she will return to Palovec sooner than expected.

Judge Soldo himself says that it is not usual for someone who has been sentenced to a long prison sentence for murder to be temporarily released.
“She was scheduled to return at the end of the break and return for maintenance the next day. If she doesn’t come forward, an arrest warrant will be issued,” Soldo concluded.
