“Battles, dog!” With that statement from Mr. Wilford, now is the time for war, like TNT’s Snowpiercer barrel for its third episode in Season 3. But could the battle involve artillery…?
As we made our final adjustments, the resistance on board the Big Alice – played by Ruth and Pike (played by Alison Wright and Steven Ogg) – discovered and then promptly dealt with a large EMP device that was not detected. Wilford (Sean Bean) intends to use it to power off Layton’s pirate ship.
To buy time to get rid of that EMP, Ruth turned to Kevin & Co., ready to support the cause. But just as the handcuffs were slung high above her arms (to deny her use of prosthetics, Wilford sneered), a rumbling outside revealed that the pirate train had quietly crept in. into Big Alice, and is doing a bold “fly-by.”
Realizing that Big Alice is being challenged, a giddy Wilford orders his minions to “battle!” To prepare for the upcoming train war.
What’s next in Episode 3 – titled “First Hit” and airing at 9:08 p.m. Monday – is a cunning game of cat and mouse, as the pirate train and Big Alice each control navigate a maze-like area of interconnected tracks – where one smart move can get you high ground, and one misstep can seal the fate of a train.
“I don’t know if you’ve watched Master and Commander“The 2013 Napoleonic War movie starring Russell Crowe,” but it has that feel,” Snowpiercer star Daveed Diggs told TVLine.
“Imagine a battle on a warship,” continued Diggs. “I haven’t seen any [the episode] but that’s definitely the feeling of wanting to shoot.
“There’s a lot of trying to deduce what part of the track someone might be on, because there are thousands of miles of track laid out and you can switch between them,” said Layton actor preview. “There are valleys that you can end up in which are very dense with a lot of backtracks, so it becomes about predicting where your enemies might be. You try to get higher ground to friend can see surnamebut surname can not see friend. ”
In other words, the fight would be like a game of chess – an exchange of moves and moves. This makes sense, because it’s not as if either ship had any sort of “cannon” to fire at the other.
“Or do not they…?” Diggs said with a wink.
