MILLIONS of Americans will receive up to $1,504 worth of food stamps this month.
SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits are designed to help low-income individuals and families make healthy food purchases.

Around 41.5 million people across the country are claiming food stamps, and the money is being provided through an EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer) card.
EBT cards are used in a similar way to debit cards and groceries can be purchased at authorized retail outlets.
Benefits are paid on a specific day of the month and vary from state to state.
The maximum amount that households can receive is $1,504.

Alabama
Food stamp recipients in Alabama should receive their benefits between April 4 and April 23.
SNAP payments are issued based on the last two digits of the customer’s case number.
Arizona
Benefits will be made available from April 1st to April 13th based on the first letter of the customer’s last name.
Arkansas
California
Benefits will be delivered to claimants in the Golden State between April 1 and April 10 based on the last digit of their case number.
Colorado
Benefits will be made available in Colorado April 1-10 based on the last digit of the recipient’s social security number.
Delaware
Around 39,000 households in Delaware are receiving food stamps.
Benefits become available over 22 days, starting on the second of the month.
Grocery stamps are issued based on the first letter of the customer’s last name.
Florida
Benefits will be provided April 1-28 based on the ninth and eighth digits of the Florida case number (read backwards), omitting the 10th digit.
Georgia
Benefits will be made available from April 5th to April 23rd based on the last two digits of the customer’s ID number.
Hawaii
Americans in Hawaii should receive their benefits between April 3rd and 5th.
Grocery stamps are issued based on the first letter of the customer’s last name.
Idaho
Services will be provided from April 1st to April 10th based on the last digit of the customer’s year of birth.
Illinois
Beneficiaries should receive their food stamps between April 1st and 10th.
SNAP payments are issued based on the last digit of the head of household’s unique ID number.
Indiana
Benefits will be made available from April 5th to April 23rd based on the first letter of the customer’s last name.
Iowa
Americans in Iowa should receive their food stamps between April 1st and April 10th.
Services are assigned based on the first letter of the customer’s last name.
Kansas
SNAP benefits will be granted April 1-10 in Kansas.
They are stored using the first letter of the customer’s last name.
Kentucky
Benefits will be made available April 1-19 based on the last digit of the customer’s case number.
Louisiana
Benefits will be made available between April 1st and April 23rd based on the last digit of the customer’s social security number.
Elderly and Disabled Benefits can be claimed between April 1st and April 4th.
Maine
Americans in Maine will receive their monthly allotment of food stamps between April 10th and April 14th.
Payments are issued based on the last digit of the recipient’s date of birth.
Maryland
Services in Maryland will be provided April 4-23 based on the first three letters of the customer’s last name.
Massachusetts
Benefits will be made available between April 1st and April 14th based on the last digit of the recipient’s SSN.
Michigan
Food stamps will be issued between April 3rd and April 21st and mailed to recipients based on the last digit of their ID number.
Minnesota
Benefits will be made available April 4-13 based on the last digit of the customer’s case number.
Mississippi
Food stamps will be made available to applicants in Mississippi April 4-21 based on the last two digits of the customer’s case number.
Missouri
Benefits will be made available to Americans in Missouri between April 1st and April 22nd.
Grocery stamps are uploaded to benefit cards based on the customer’s birth month and last name.
Montana
SNAP payments will be made available over a five-day period beginning April 2nd.
Benefits are granted based on the last digit of the SNAP eligibility system case number.
Nebraska
Benefits are granted from April 1 through April 5 based on the last digit of the head of household’s social security number.
Nevada
SNAP payments are available April 1-10.
Benefits are awarded based on the last digit of the household’s year of birth.
New Hampshire
Services in New Hampshire will be available on April 5th.
More than 36,000 households in the state are receiving food stamps.
New Jersey
In New Jersey, applicants can expect to receive their food stamps between April 1 and April 5.
Payments are based on the seventh digit of the customer’s case number.
New Mexico
Benefits will be made available for 20 days each month beginning April 1st.
Food stamps are issued based on the last two digits of the social security number.
new York
In New York, food stamps are issued between April 1 and April 9 based on the last digit of the customer’s case number for all boroughs except the five boroughs of New York City.
For NYC cases, food stamps will be made available between April 1-10 and April 14-28, depending on your so-called toe digit.
Your toe digit is the last digit of your case number.
North Carolina
Benefits are made available between the 3rd and 21st of the month based on the last digit of the primary cardholder’s SSN.
Ohio
Benefits will be made available April 2-20 based on the last digit of the customer’s SNAP case number.
Oklahoma
Benefits will be made available to Oklahomans April 1-10 based on the last digit of the customer’s SNAP case number.
Oregon
Benefits will be made available April 1-9, based on the last digit of the customer’s social security number.
Pennsylvania
Grocery stamps are made available in Pennsylvania the first 10 business days of the month.
This excludes weekends and holidays and benefits are granted based on the last digit of the seven-digit case record number.
South Carolina
Benefits will be made available April 1-10 based on the last digit of the SNAP case number.
South Dakota
Benefits will be available on April 10th.
Tennessee
Benefits are awarded based on the last two digits of the head of household’s social security number.
Payments are made between the 1St and 20th of the month, according to the US Department of Agriculture.
Texas
For SNAP households certified after June 1, 2020, benefits are phased in between April 16 and April 28.
Payments are allocated using the last two digits of the group number to determine eligibility.
For SNAP households certified before June 1, 2020, benefits will become available for 15 days beginning April 1 and based on the last digit of the group number to determine eligibility.
Utah
In Utah, benefits will be available on April 5th, April 11th, and April 15th.
Grocery stamps are issued based on the first letter of the customer’s last name.
Virginia
Benefits will be made available April 1-7 based on the last digits of the customer’s case number.
Washington
Benefits will be made available to claimants in Washington state between April 1 and April 20.
Washington, D.C
Benefits will be made available from April 1st through April 10th based on the first letter of the customer’s last name.
West Virginia
Food stamps will be made available in West Virginia between April 1st and April 9th.
They are deposited into accounts by the letter of the customer’s last name.
Approximately 166,000 households receive SNAP benefits in the state.
Wisconsin
Benefits will be made available between April 1st and April 15th.
They are issued based on the eighth digit of the customer’s SSN.


Wyoming
Food stamp applicants in Wyoming should receive their monthly benefits between April 1 and April 4.
