Slapping the penis with a ‘magic wand’ can beat erectile dysfunction in just 15 minutes

Experts say the “magic wand” helps men get erections again with treatment sessions lasting only 15 minutes.

The Erectile Dysfunction (ED) device emits shock waves that help blood flow to the penis and repair damaged tissue.

It’s a relatively new way to solve a common problem, in addition to a variety of drugs, hacks, and technologies.

One clinic in Surrey, the Kingston Men’s Health Clinic, is having great success with shock wave therapy, which typically requires about six sessions over six weeks.

Dr Peter Holy said: “Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment that can be done in as little as 15 minutes and does not require anesthesia.

“It has proven to be an effective procedure for our patients who suffer from erectile dysfunction.

“But shockwave therapy has a lot of other benefits, too.

“Other conditions that can be treated with shock wave therapy are chronic pelvic pain, chronic prostatitis, and penile pain.”

Shockwave therapy is best for patients with Vascular ED, when blood flow to the penis is restricted.

This could be due to atherosclerosis – when the arteries become blocked or narrowed, usually due to conditions like diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol and obesity.

After the numbing gel is applied, high-frequency sound waves are delivered into the penis through a wand to strengthen the blood vessels.

The pulses stimulate the growth of new blood vessels while also breaking down plaque build-up in existing vessels.

According to the Men’s Health Clinic, 50% of men with mild to severe ED can benefit from it.

It claims after six treatment sessions, 50 to 80 percent of patients will report an improvement in their erections.

One study showed that the effects lasted for about a year, Health line report.

Dr Holy said: “Advances in technology in recent years mean that erectile dysfunction treatment It has never been easier or more efficient. ”

ED, also known as impotence, is very common, the NHS said.

Its causes include depression, alcohol abuse or hormone problems, which are not known to benefit from shock wave therapy.

ED treatments sometimes target the root problem, such as therapy for a psychological cause or lifestyle change.

ED is often a problem in men over 40 and is also a common side effect of prostate cancer, with an estimated 47,500 British men diagnosed each year.

Dr Holy’s clinic works closely with the leading prostate cancer facility Proton Therapy Center in Prague in adopting a holistic approach to the treatment of this deadly disease.

“Thankfully, there are several extremely effective treatments today, and the impact of prostate cancer can be better treated than ever before,” he said.
