According to the outlet, the drink has been around for centuries and its origins likely date back to Europe.
It can be prepared with or without alcohol.
Who owns Skrewball Whiskey?
On March 24, 2023, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported that Pernod Ricard – “the second largest wine and spirits producer in the world” – had become the owner of Skrewball Whiskey.
According to the outlet, the company announced that it had acquired a majority stake in the peanut butter whiskey brand.
Steven and Brittany Yeng of San Diego, California, founded Skrewball Whiskey in 2018 and “self-funded the company.”
After purchasing Pernod Ricard, Steven said in an interview with the San Diego Union-Tribune, “We’re a small whiskey compared to everything, right in Ocean Beach, of all places.”
“We had to really focus on ourselves and really believe that (Pernod Ricard) could take us to the next level. And this is something we never in a million years thought would happen.”
