Skip Bayless shatters claims Lebron James is the greatest NBA player of all time as he calls ‘runaway GOAT’
SKIP Bayless called his “breakaway GOAT” the same night LeBron James broke the NBA scoring record.
The Fox Sports personality didn’t have a historic moment in Los Angeles.
James, 38, became the NBA’s all-time leading scorer on Tuesday night.
He surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s longstanding record of 38,387 points.
But Bayless took to Twitter to claim LeBron isn’t the greatest of all time.
And he listed a number of stats to back his argument against Michael Jordan.
Bayless tweeted, “LeBron has played 338 more games than MJ.
“Even so, MJ won 10 scoring titles over LBJ.
“MJ: Three steals titles to LBJ’s zero.
“MJ: Defensive Player of the Year and nine-time 1st-team all-defense player for LBJ’s Five.
“MJ 5-4 in MVPs. MJ 6-0 in Finals, six MVPs.
“MJ averaged eight assists in 1989. MJ free throws 84% to LBJ’s 74.”
And he finished: “MJ: RUNAWAY GOAT.”
Jordan and James are widely regarded as the two best players to ever play the game.
The debate about their size will continue for decades.
