Six people were injured in a shooting in Chattanooga when gun violence broke out downtown near the Tennessee Aquarium, leaving two people dead

SIX people were injured and two others are in critical condition in a shooting near the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga.
Cops said “numerous people” fled the scene after “multiple parties” exchanged gunfire in downtown Chattanooga at 10:48 p.m. Saturday.

“Our officers began providing assistance to the victims and helping others to get to safety,” a police spokesman told Tennessee news station WTVC.
“They were able to arrest at least one person with an interest in the incident in the moments after the shooting began.”
Police said “several” gunshot victims were taken to local hospitals, two of them in critical condition.
Most of the victims are said to be in their teens and early 20s.
“We had large groups of youth walking downtown that day and we believe the shooting took place within that group,” a police spokesman said.
