Six household items that have fallen in price despite inflation will help you eat cheap

INFLATION may increase prices, but some products have actually become cheaper.
The consumer price index (CPI) rose to 9.1% in June, with housing, petrol and groceries the main contributors to higher prices.

The CPI recorded that housing costs rose 5.6% over the past year, while food prices rose 10.4%.
Although many goods have gone up, some household items have gone down in price.
Below are just some items you can find at lower prices.
1. TV
According to the CPI report, televisions have fallen in price.


While other electronics should fall in price, televisions fell the most.
The report saw a price drop of 9.5% from 2021 to 2022.
2. Computer Software and Accessories
Computers and accessories like mice and software fell 0.6% from June 2021 to June 2022.
Other accessories such as smart devices and peripherals were included in the price cut.
3. Consumer Information Technology
Items like calculators and phones saw a huge 13.2% drop this year.
Go Banking Rates said the reason could be due to technological advances.
Since smartphones are equipped with almost everything you need, buying these items is no longer necessary.
4. Smart phones
Electronic devices are seeing massive price falls, with smartphones leading the way with a 19.9% drop.
5. Books
As the pandemic made it difficult for bookstores to stay open, prices have taken a hit.
Leisure books saw a slight decline of 0.2%.
6. Photo/Video Equipment
The price of photo and video equipment also fell by 4.3%.
