Sister Wives’ Maddie Brown shares cute video of daughter Evie, 3, riding a scooter 2 years after prosthetic leg

SISTER Wives star Maddie Brown took to social media to share a heartfelt video of her daughter Evie riding a scooter just two years after the little one had a prosthetic leg.

Maddie gave a sweet update on Evie on Instagram as she played outside on her scooter in the spring weather. The song Unstoppable by Sia was Maddie’s fitting song of choice as fans watched Evie having fun.

In a subsequent Instagram story, Maddie showed off Evie with a big smile and a pair of sunglasses while she was at the dentist.

“Straight chillin’,” wrote the caption along with an emoji.

Just two years ago, the reality TV star’s daughter had her foot amputated and her hand “cut off” due to a rare genetic disorder.

Months later, the now 3-year-old went to have her new prosthesis molded.

‘BIG DAY!’

In 2020, Maddie shared a boomerang gif on Instagram of herself holding her daughter while the orthotist worked to get her fit for the artificial limb.

She captioned the post: “Big day for Miss Evie! First cast for your prosthesis!”

They couldn’t go home with a prosthesis the same day as Maddie explained that the process has several stages and could take a while to complete.

The mother-of-two, who also shares son Axel with husband Caleb Brush, told Instagram followers, “Evie was molded for an outlet…markers [were made] to show where the special points are. Where it needs to be shaped specifically for your socket.

“Well then he’s going to form a clear shaft and we go back and he fits her the clear shaft so he can see what it looks like. Does she need extra space here? Is this spot too narrow?

“And then when he’s fixed the clear socket and he looks good in a clear socket, he’ll make a prosthesis.”

Once Evie is fitted with a prosthesis, she will get a new one every six months as she grows.

Maddie added that she plans to keep sharing updates because it’s all a “learning process” for her and her husband, but they wanted to raise awareness “for the purpose of normalization.”

The daughter of Kody and Janelle Brown revealed after giving birth to Evangalynn Kodi on August 20, 2019 that the baby has FATCO syndrome – a rare genetic disorder that causes limb deformities.

Maddie’s dramatic delivery in the birth of her daughter was captured in a season finale of Sister Wives.

Maddie then shared a picture on Instagram as she held Evie up in her hospital room following her life-changing procedure.

EVIE IS A BIG SISTER

In February, Maddie welcomed a little girl into the family – making Evie a big sister and son Axel a big brother.

Josephine Lee Brush was born on February 10, 2023 and Maddie took to social media to share the good news.

“Welcome to the world,” she wrote.

In another recent post, the Sister Wives star posted a picture of Axel and Evie holding their newborn sibling.

“Axel and Evie are over the moon and absolutely in love with sweet Joey! We’re still having growing pains as expected, but better than expected,” she wrote.
