Sister Wives’ Kody Brown thinks it’s “inappropriate” for 13-year-old daughter Truely to live with teenage mother Christine and her fiancé

SISTER Wives’ Kody Brown found it “inappropriate” for daughter Truely to live with his ex Christine and her fiancé, The US Sun has exclusively learned.

The custody battle between Christine, 51, and Kody is heating up behind the scenes as the family patriarch expresses concern for his 13-year-old daughter who lives in the home of an unmarried couple.

A family insider exclusively claimed to The US Sun: “Kody, 54, has spoken out on numerous occasions that he doesn’t think it’s appropriate for his daughter to live in an unmarried household.”

“There was talk of how uncomfortable he was with the mere fact that Christine and her fiancé are living together and not married.”

The source added that given the reality star’s past polygamous lifestyle, there may also be pressure on her to “get married quickly.”

The US Sun first broke the news that Christine and David have been planning a summer wedding date following their engagement in April.

A war was also brewing behind the scenes between David and Kody, the source also claimed.

“David can’t stand Kody. He doesn’t appreciate the way Kody treated Christine.”

“He thinks he treated her terribly,” the insider noted.

“David is really chivalrous towards Christine and really treats her like a queen.

“He drinks and feeds her and takes her to nice restaurants.

“He takes her on trips like Universal Studios and Disneyland because that’s where she’s always wanted to go to spend time with family but Kody would never go.”

The source continued, “All of these things that they do are things that she always wanted Kody to go and do, and he never made time to do it.”

“So, through David, she’s reviewing all the years of her failed marriage.”

Both David and Christine have flaunted their relationship on social media – since they went public in February – and gushed about how “blessed” they are to have each other.

There is no shortage of new memories that they create together and, of course, share with Sister Wives fans.

Fans have even hinted that the mother-of-six is casting subtle shadows at her ex.

The source added, “A lot of her posts are digs at Kody. Much of what they do is done on purpose. It’s really calculated.”

The father of 18 not only finds his daughter’s living situation “inappropriate”, he also finds Truely’s relationship with her soon-to-be father-in-law “annoying”.

A source previously told The US Sun: “Kody seeing photos of his daughter with David is really bothering him. It’s triggering.”

“Really is a daddy’s girl and always has been. The whole situation with Kody is heartbreaking.”

According to the show, Christine and Kody most recently stopped fighting over custody of their daughter while the Plexus ambassador prepared for her move to Utah from Arizona.

The TLC star made the move in fall 2021, just before publicly announcing her split from Kody.

Robyn Brown’s husband shared his point of view in an October 2022 episode.

“You can’t take her away from me because we have to have joint custody. It has to be 50/50.”

“I need to be involved in Truely’s life. And you really can’t stop me from being a part of her life.”

“So I don’t know what your intention was in moving with her,” Kody said at the time.

During his confessional, Kody explained his objections: “The whole problem is, to begin with, she didn’t ask me if it was okay if she moved to Utah and took Truely.”

“She just told me she would.”

In her own confessional, Christine exploded, “I find it ironic that he now wants to be involved in my child’s life. Now that I’m leaving.”

“Now he wants to spend 50/50 time with you? Well, he could have been with us 50/50 the whole damn time we lived here.”

Christine has since moved into a brand new $770,000 home with David and is renting out her former $1 million home in Salt Lake City.
