SIR ALEX FERGUSON left his laundry at the dry cleaners this morning, less than 48 hours after his beloved Manchester United were taken to the dry cleaners from Brentford.

The 80-year-old appeared to be in decent spirits as he got back into his car in Wilmslow, Cheshire.

In his pomp, Ferguson would have dished out a couple of hair dryers on Saturday as United were humiliated 4-0 by Brentford.

The Red Devils legend was present for their 2-1 opening day defeat by Brighton at Old Trafford.

And he will have been disgusted to see how his beloved United played.
