“It is possible that Benjamin Foster is attempting to alter his appearance by shaving his beard and hair or changing his hair color,” the Grants Pass Police Department said in its statement.

“The Grants Pass Police Department is asking the public to pay special attention to Foster’s facial structure and eyes as these features are very difficult to alter.

“Additional photos of Foster will be released as they become available to help identify him.”

Foster has been on the run since Tuesday when he was caught allegedly torturing a woman at her home in Grants Pass, Oregon.

Foster “actively uses online dating applications to contact unsuspecting individuals who may be tricked into helping the suspect escape or may be additional victims,” the Grants Pass Police Department said in an update Friday.

Foster would likely have killed the victim had he not been interrupted, Lt. Jeff Hattersley of the New York Times.

He told the outlet that Foster and the victim already knew each other but didn’t reveal any further details about their relationship.

After the suspect was driven away, the victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Police said he was dangerous and may be armed.

After a friend of the victim interrupted Foster, he allegedly escaped in his car and eventually fled into the wilderness on foot.

Although police quickly launched an extensive manhunt, he has been missing ever since.

Investigators recovered Foster’s vehicle Thursday in nearby Wolf Creek, Oregon.

Police have also arrested Tina Marie Jones, 68, who is suspected of hiding Foster when the manhunt began and helping him escape.

This isn’t the first time Foster has faced such charges.

In 2019, he was convicted of assault after holding a girlfriend captive in his Las Vegas apartment for two weeks and severely beating her, the Associated Press reported. Foster was attending university there at the time.

He spent a few months in prison before returning to Oregon.
