“Similar here” – Melina fires shots at WWE after booking Royal Rumble

Melina made her come back WWE as the second athlete in the fifth annual Women’s Royal Rumble match last weekend but took the lead when she was knocked out within minutes.

The former women’s champion faced off against Sasha Banks but was quickly disqualified after what could have been a bug outside the ring. WWE fans have since been outraged by Melina’s brief appearance in the match and it seems the star herself believes she will play a much larger role in the match.

Melina responded to a fan on Instagram earlier today, revealing that she believes she will be in the match for much longer.

Melina and Sasha Banks have never faced off in a WWE ring and many believe the company can do even more in the present time.

Melina may return to WWE in the future now the seed has been planted

In 2020, Melina has re-signed and is expected to return. This never materialized because the former star suffered an injury and required surgery.

Instead, Melina returned as part of the Royal Rumble match, and gave the reaction she received and the chemistry she had. Sasha Bankstwo women might do it again some day in the future.

If Ronda Rousey is set to take on Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch is busy competing in RAW, then Banks may not have an opponent for WrestleMania. It was incredible to watch Melina hit her first singles match at the biggest tournament of the year since WrestleMania 23 when she faced off against Ashley Massaro.
