Dan, who plays Dudley Mafee on the long-running drama, stopped by Chicago for an appearance on NBC Sports Chicago’s Football Night.

After chatting with host Mike Berman about his favorite sports teams and moments, it’s time for Dan to plug in his show.

After Mike mentioned the series, the 39-year-old gushed, “Season seven, the final season is on the way.”

Suddenly, after noticing his revelation, Dan’s face went white and he stumbled over his words.

“Shouldn’t I say that?” he continued. “I don’t know if I should say that. I think (the news) is out.”

It was not.

Sports presenter Mike Flatley replied: “It doesn’t matter, you just said it.”

All Dan could do was double down on their shared secret.

“Season seven, the final season of Billions, is on its way,” he dutifully teased.

Billions tells the story of New York hedge fund manager Bobby Axelrod, played by Damian Lewis, who wages a power struggle against Paul Giamatti’s wily US attorney Chuck Rhoades.

Damian left the show after its fifth season with his character on the run due to legal issues.

The 52-year-old said he was physically and mentally exhausted following the tragic death of his wife, actress Helen McCrory.

Helen, who played Polly in Peaky Blinders and Narcissa Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, died of cancer in April 2021 at the age of 52.

He previously shared that he retired from the show to spend more time with his kids.

But the actor recently announced he’ll be back for what appears to be the final season.

And fans of Billions are hoping for the possibility that multiple spinoffs are in the works.

The aptly titled “Millions” focuses on investors in their 30s in Manhattan, while “Trillions” tells fictional stories about the world’s wealthiest people.
