Shootings at Sexyy Red and Sukihana music video shoots leave one dead after fans flee gunfire at a Florida flea market

ONE person has reportedly died after a shooting near a flea market where two rappers were filming a music video.
Sexyy Red and Sukihana were holding an event in Florida on Thursday when gunfire drove a crowd of people to take cover.
Around 8 p.m., police stormed the Oakland Park Flea Market in Oakland Park, Florida.
According to social media reports, the rappers were at the flea market to film a video for Sexyy Red’s upcoming single “Shake Ya Dreadz.”
A video was shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, and appeared to show Sexyy Red performing while a crowd danced around her.
At some point, shots were fired and a gunshot victim was found at a nearby gas station, according to the local ABC affiliate WPLG reported.

A second victim was found at the flea market.
Fans who were present at the video shoot described how they ran for cover after the shots.
The Broward County Sheriff’s Office cordoned off the gas station while police searched for evidence.
Two people were observed being arrested near the scene, but police did not comment on any arrests.
Sexyy Red shared a clip on her Instagram Story of what appeared to be a flea market with several fans and cars crowding the area.
“I got all the police escorts going crazy,” she later shared in a video from a car.
Sexyy Red rose to fame in January 2023 with the release of her song Pound Town.
A remix of the song with Nicki Minaj helped her career grow even more.
She is known for her mixtape Hood Hottest Princess, which includes the hits SkeeYee, Looking For the Hoes (Ain’t My Fault) and Pound Town 2.
The US Sun has reached out to Sexyy Red and Sukihana – real names Janae Nierah Wherry and Destiny Lanette Henderson – for comment.
