LEVI Davis posted a haunting final video saying he was being blackmailed by criminals who threatened to kill him and his family.

The 24-year-old initially deleted the footage after posting it to Instagram, but it has now resurfaced three months after the X Factor star and rugby player went missing in Barcelona.

Levi was last seen leaving a pub in the Spanish city on October 29, having traveled there from Ibiza.

Reports have speculated the missing former rugby pro may have drowned after being hunted down by criminals with £100,000 in debt.

The Instagram video was posted four days before his disappearance but was accessed by private investigator Gavin Burrows.

He said it was being released with the consent of friends and family for information about what may have happened.

His Line of Inquiry company is offering a £10,000 reward for information leading to Levi being found.

The video begins with him saying, “My name is Levi Davis and my life is in danger. I ask you to listen and understand what I am telling you.”

In the footage, a distraught Levi claims he was blackmailed by criminals who threatened him and his family.

He said the extortion started after he was on X-Factor in 2019.

Levi said he “went to the police and I asked them if they could help me” because “something happened to me and it wasn’t good.”

“You might be wondering, why don’t you just stay away from people who want to harm you?” said a tearful Levi.

“And I tried that by starting a new life in Australia. But what happened is that I was followed there too.”

Levi said he wanted to get one of the blackmailers to “conform to their demands.”

“I was told by them in a way that is not direct but absolutely true that they would try – if I said anything – they would try to kill me, threaten my family.

“And they’ve also tried to frame me and are.”

Levi claims the blackmailers had access to his medical records as they “raised things that only I have spoken to the NHS”.

He said he was “trying to understand their demands,” adding, “On the surface I had to look normal, they were telling me to look normal.”

The Sun Online has chosen not to reveal why Levi claims he was blackmailed.

What exactly happened to Levi remains a mystery.

After his stint with the X-Factor, he began building a music career with a second single – Los Angeles – due for release in November and for which promotional photos were taken.

His friends say they worried about him before he left.

Close friend Mike Guida, 25, told The Sun Online he spoke to Levi about the extortion but was worried about Levi when he tagged him in the video.

He said Levi had discussed the issues raised in the video in the weeks prior, even while intoxicated.

“The video is pretty much everything he said minus the alcohol-fueled fear,” said Mike, who has known Levi since their college days together.

“It was almost word for word what he said in the video.

“It was worrying that he said it drunk and then sober.”

After the couple spoke, Levi took down the video and told Mike, “I have to sort myself out.”

He said: “In the past he said something is going to happen, I don’t want you guys to get hurt.

“I tried to get him to say, ‘Dude, you need to give me some details so I can understand a little bit, but he said, ‘No, no, it’s fine.'”

He added: “It’s heartbreaking. He’s one of the closest guys in the world to me.

“He was one of those people I could totally rely on outside of my family. I had a few meltdowns thinking about it.”

Another friend, who asked not to be named, said it was suggested to Levi that the blackmail allegations stemmed from mental health issues.

“But no, he was adamant and said ‘no people follow me’. It’s just so weird.

“When we saw the video, we were really shocked. We said, “Maybe you should be careful posting this.”

“We were very concerned for his safety and wellbeing. It’s not something you would do lightly.”

Anyone with information can contact Line of Inquiry for free from anywhere in the world.

It emerged this week that up to 38 contacts on Levi’s Instagram were mysteriously deleted after he went missing

The names and how they were erased could provide important clues as to what happened to him.

The rugby player-turned-reality star appeared on X Factor: Celebrity in 2019 with fellow rugby players Ben Foden and Thom Evans as part of the group Try Star.

In 2020 he starred in the E4 dating series Celebs Go Virtual Dating.

Levi made history that year by becoming the first rugby union player to be revealed as bisexual while still playing.
