Startling new details have emerged into the mysterious disappearance of a man who disappeared after crashing his car and running into the woods.

Brandon Darquice Anderson was last seen driving a Ford Taurus on June 20, 2005.

This vehicle collided with two other cars on Interstate 94 at about 1:45 a.m., just across the Kalamazoo County line.

After the crash, Anderson allegedly ran across the freeway, jumped a fence, and entered the Fort Custer Training Center property.

Anderson has not been seen since.

Officials combed the area near the crash for him but found no evidence.

He was 21 years old at the time of his disappearance.

Anderson’s mother believes her son may have been avoiding police at the time of the accident.

An arrest warrant had been issued against him.

The driver of the vehicle also fled the scene but was reportedly arrested later.

The woman told Click on Detroit she is in regular contact with her son and believes foul play may have been a factor.

Some reports suggest that Anderson may have left a young daughter.

The case remains unsolved 17 years later.
