A FLORIDA woman stabbed her sister to death after finding out they had been flirting in private messages.
According to reports, 21-year-old Faitha Marzan killed her little sister, 20-year-old Sayma Marzan.
The murder occurred at 4:30 am on September 26 in the bedroom they shared at their parents’ home in Orlando.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, Faitha learned that her long-distance boyfriend of five years was exchanging messages with her sister through a video game called “Valorant.”
They often played together.
She was reportedly furious to find out her boyfriend told Sayma he was in love with her.
“Fatiha said her sister Sayma tried to steal her boyfriend last year. Fatiha recently found out that her boyfriend was flirting back with Sayma and told her he loved her,” the Orange County arrest affidavit said.
“Fatiha said she spoke to Sayma and her boyfriend on several occasions about how she felt about their relationship. Fatiha said Sayma never respected her feelings.”
Faitha then bought a “dagger-style knife set” on Amazon two weeks before the stabbing and hid the weapon in her closet until everyone in her house was asleep.
She allegedly pulled out the hidden knife and stabbed her sister three to four times in the heart in their shared bedroom, police said.
Hours later, at 7:30 p.m., Faitha called 9-1-1 to report Sayma’s death.
Deputies responded to the call and found her sister Sayma dead at her home.
Faitha admitted to the crimes and told police officers that she stabbed her sister three or four times.
She is currently being held without bond in the Orange County Jail.
