HORROR video shows the moment a Russian missile obliterates a shopping center in Kyiv, killing eight people.
The massive explosion devastated the Retroville shopping center in the north-west of the Ukrainian capital and was so powerful that vehicles in the parking lot were pulverized.
The footage briefly shows the missile heading straight for the mall, creating a huge fireball.
The video was reportedly released by the Russian military itself to prove that Ukrainian forces were using the mall to plant their own missiles and to justify the brutal attack.
Another chilling video captured by a nearby CCTV camera shows the moment a missile hits the building, sending a ball of fire hundreds of feet into the air.
The blast hurls debris everywhere while nearby buildings are rocked by the gigantic bang, blowing out their windows.
Photos of the aftermath in Kyiv’s Podilskyi district show how the attack left the mall in a smoldering wreck and completely devastated.
A huge crater was left behind as rescuers scrambled to drag bloodied victims scattered among the rubble.
Police said at least eight people were killed amid fears dozens more were missing in the carnage.
On Monday Mayor Vitali Klitschko said the attack was one of several bombs dropped on the city overnight.
Other razed homes, offices and a gym were also hit as the city braced for a 26th day of Russian attacks.
After the mall attack, the former heavyweight boxing champion declared the start of another 35-hour curfew – from 8pm tonight to 7am on Wednesday.
The attack is just the latest example of this merciless Russian troops shell civilian areas.
According to the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office, 150 children have been killed and 148 injured “in the armed attack by the Russian Federation on Ukraine”.
They suggested the actual numbers might be higher due to difficulties in confirming details in a war zone.
Prosecutors said the largest number of confirmed victims was 58 in Kyiv.
38 children died in the eastern city of Kharkiv, 29 in Donetsk and 31 in Chernihiv.
