Shocking moment one man ‘beats another with an ax in a brazen street attack’ before being tasered by cops
This is the shocking moment when a man bludgeons a rival with an ax before being tasered by cops in an allegedly gruesome attack.
Footage shows the suspect brandishing the gun on a high street in Ilford, east London last night.

He wields the ax as he lunges at the man in front of horrified passers-by and police officers.
The officers then taser the axeman – causing him to fall stiffly to the ground.
Additional footage shows the police arresting him while one is holding the large gun.
The horror unfolded just moments after the first man was captured throwing traffic cones near a bus stop.
As he hurls another traffic cone, the cops pull over and pin his arms behind his back.
While he’s being held down, the man with the ax will appear and swing the blade.
The first man later flees on foot while the officers wrestle with the axeman on the ground.
The videos were posted by @Ig1Ig3 on social media.
One onlooker said: “Luckily he wasn’t shot!”
While another wrote: “Cracking police work in split seconds with nonlethal force.
“The armed police are so heavily criticized but only have a tiny window of opportunity to think.”
Met Police confirmed a man had been charged with possession of an assault weapon.
He is scheduled to appear in Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on January 6, 2023.
A statement said: “At around 00:30 on Friday 23 December, police officers dealing with an unrelated matter nearby became aware of a man attempting to enter a shop front in the High Road, Ilford to damage.
“While officers were talking to the man, a second man appeared with an axe.
A taser was fired and this second man was arrested and later charged with possession of an assault weapon.
“The man originally spoken to ran away and remains outstanding.
“We are aware of footage of the incident showing officers arresting the man. This has been viewed by the Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards and no wrongdoing has been found.”
