Shocking moment: Delivery driver ‘RUNS AND kills beloved pet cat’ in front of crying child

A DELIVERY driver is said to have run over and killed a domestic cat in front of a crying child, shocking video shows
The driver slowed the black station wagon to allow the cat to cross the street before suddenly rushing toward him.
Mr Bumbles, 18, who was deaf, died three days after being struck in Great Plumstead. NorfolkLast month.
Owner Paul Walker, 58, said: “It was cold hearted. He obviously had no sympathy for the cat.
“I can forgive someone who accidentally ran over the cat, but I think they got impatient and saw that the cat wouldn’t move out of the way and just ran over them.
“It shows no heart and no soul. He saw the cat squirming in the street. He was in terrible shape.”
Angry neighbors confronted the driver, who climbed onto the curb as he pulled away to avoid the cat’s injured body.
A woman says: “This cat is going to die now. In earnest? And you don’t give up.
“Did you know that you’re just- He’s not giving up!”
The man replies, “What? I pulled over. I’m really sorry, but I’m not looking at the bottom of the cars.”
Paul spent £1,600 on vet bills to save Mr Bumbles, who suffered injuries including a fractured pelvis, measured eye and broken spine.
He adopted the cat two years ago with his wife Suzette, 56. He added: “He was such a beautiful cat. We’re just devastated that he’s not here.
“Mr Bumbles was in good health except for a heart murmur.
“At first he was called Socks because of his white feet, then the children of the estate called him Mr Bumble because he used to stumble around.
“He greeted you at the foot of the stairs in the morning and sat on your lap.
“He was something very special – a real gentleman.
“I think the guy should be paying the vet bills and getting done for reckless driving. He should be held accountable.”
Norfolk Police are investigating. The RSPCA was asked to comment.
