SHOCKING bodycam footage shows the moment a stabbing suspect attacked a nurse with scissors while tied to a bed before pouncing on an officer.
Luis Medina, 30, flew into violent anger after being taken into custody Saturday morning for allegedly stabbing a 41-year-old woman during an argument in New York City.
During the incident, Medina received minor injuries and was taken to Bronx Hospital for treatment, the NYPD said.
He was treated before he broke into a rage.
Police bodycam footage shows the moment Medina used her free hand to take a pair of scissors from the 26-year-old nurse and hit her on the head.
She ran out of the room after Medina jumped out of bed.
His right hand was still tied to the bed.
Medina seemed to hit the officer with the scissors.
He eventually slipped and fell to the ground before being hit by the officer’s stun gun with a taser.
The video then showed the police officer storming out of the hospital room.
Medina was eventually charged with multiple charges of assault and criminal possession of weapons, the NYPD said.
The woman he stabbed in the earlier argument on East Gun Hill Road was taken to Saint Barnabas Hospital.
The nurse was not seriously injured.
Her condition is serious but stable, police said.
