Shocking moment a pub patron takes a man down with a pool cue before a massive brawl ensues

THIS is the moment a pub patron KOs a man with a pool cue – before a massive brawl erupts.

The viral clip, which emerged from a South Shields binge, shows a man turning aggressively on another – before his friend intervenes.

CCTV posted on Twitter showed a black hat customer grabbing a pool ball and throwing it at another man.

An eyewitness told MailOnline: “It threatened to go off all night. There were a lot of them at the pool table. Then a big argument broke out and the boy in the hat attacked them all.

“He grabbed a ball from the table and threw it at one of the group sitting at the table and then walked across the table to another boy.”

The man in the hat then turned his attention to another billiards player, dressed in white, and aggressively positioned himself at him before swinging his right arm out to land a punch.

Just as he stepped back a moment, a friend of the man in white turned his pool cue into a gun and fired it at his head.

He immediately passed out and fell to the ground as the man in white poured his pint over him.

“I don’t think he saw anyone standing next to him because he was totally unprepared,” the witness added.

“This guy just put a smack on his head and knocked him out completely,” he continued.

This prompted pals from both parties to join the fight.

Within seconds two men were on the ground and two men were waving their cues in the air.

The witness said: “Then it just kept going. A few digs were thrown and I think he took another hit to the head while he was on the ground.

“People left for fear of being hit. Then the guys just hit it. But it’s all on CCT.”

The footage also showed some revelers trying unsuccessfully to stop the fight.

A spokesman for the force said: “On the evening of 30 December 2022 we were made aware of an altercation that was taking place at a pub on Prince Edward Road, South Shields.

“The officer visited the premises but those involved had already left and no reports of injuries were presented to police.

“The video surveillance of the incident is being reviewed by officers and the investigation is ongoing.”

No arrests were made.
