Shocking details come to light after a secret camera disguised as a phone charger captured over 600 images of girls in the dressing room

A FORMER high school assistant football coach has been sentenced to prison after secretly photographing minors in a girls’ locker room.

David Arthur Riden, 53, who worked at Los Osos High School in Southern California, used a camera disguised as a phone charger to take over 600 pictures of the girls.

Riden was arrested last year after another employee found the hidden camera.

He resigned from his position on the day of his arrest, having worked for the high school since 2015.

Last month, the former assistant coach pleaded guilty to secretly photographing a minor, possessing more than 600 child sexual assault materials and using a minor to produce child sexual assault materials.

A total of 21 students were photographed.

Riden was sentenced to nine years and four months in prison on Friday.

In addition to his sentence, Riden will be a registered sex offender for the rest of his life.

Jordyn Stotts, one of Riden’s victims, spoke alongside attorney Gloria Allred on Friday.

“Riden, the game you were playing was sick. I spoke to you almost every day and thought how kind and sweet of a person you were and thought of you as a coach who loves his job,” Stotts said.

“But the whole time you’ve been behind all of our backs, which is sick.”

The San Bernardino County Attorney’s Office said in a statement, “Our office is pleased with the outcome of this lawsuit, particularly as it relates to the felony charges.”

“It ensures that Riden is held accountable for his crimes and victims do not have to endure a potentially lengthy trial and further emotional trauma.”

Allred is representing the victims and their families in a lawsuit against the school district.

She said some parents found Riden’s prison sentence “very disappointing.”

“Even though Mr Riden is going to jail, some parents felt he should be given a much longer sentence,” Allred said Friday.
