Shock update after two children are found dead and an infant rushed to hospital as mum who ‘jumped out window’ was named as suspect

A mother allegedly strangled her two children before jumping out of a window in a horror tragedy, leaving a third child in hospital.
Lindsay Clancy, 32, has been named a suspect in the murder of her two children – Cora Clancy, five, and Dawson Clancy, three – after police found them dead at their home in Duxbury, Massachusetts.

Police officers sped to the scene around 6pm Tuesday night after a man reported that a woman had jumped out of a window.
The man reportedly said it was a suicide attempt, but police have not confirmed this.
When authorities entered the home, they found three children upstairs who “were unconscious and showed obvious signs of trauma,” Plymouth District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz said.
Cora and Dawson died in hospital and the third child, a seven-month-old boy, was flown to a Boston hospital where the mother was employed, Massachusetts General Hospital, officials said.

“We are shocked and saddened to learn of this unimaginable tragedy,” the hospital told the Boston Globe.
“We extend our deepest sympathy to everyone affected by these devastating events.”
Although Cruz said Cora and Dawson appeared to have been strangled, their autopsies have yet to be performed.
Cruz said authorities on Wednesday “applied for and received an arrest warrant in Plymouth District Court charging Lindsay Clancy, the mother of these children, with her murders.”
He said that “we will indict her as soon as possible on the two counts of murder in the deaths of her children.”
Clancy is currently being treated at a Boston hospital.
The mother injured herself before taking the fall, according to a dispatcher via Broadcastify.
“She is conscious,” said a dispatcher. “It was a fall from over 20 feet.”
According to the dispatcher, the mother suffered back and neck injuries.
Neighbor John Sullivan told the Globe his son called him Tuesday night and told him a woman was “laying down in the backyard.”
As Sullivan walked to his neighbor’s house, he saw first responders performing life-saving procedures on a baby outside.
Donna Jesse, who posed as the children’s aunt, told the Globe, “They were beautiful, beautiful children.”
“It’s pretty shocking,” said Rita Musgrove, who posed as the children’s great-grandmother.
Jesse and Musgrove were seen visibly emotional as they left a bouquet of roses outside the home where others had left flowers in honor of the children.

Tom McGrath, who lives nearby, was shocked: “It’s kind of like, how can this happen here?”
While Sullivan said he doesn’t know the family well, he never saw any red flags coming from the house.
