Sheikh Jassim “is considering buying West Ham instead of Man United” if Qatar’s takeover bid is rejected by the Glazers

Manchester United’s potential buyer, Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al Thani, is reportedly considering buying West Ham if his bid for the Red Devils falls through.
Sheikh Jassim recently made a fourth bid to buy Man Utd outright from the Glazers.
However, with rival Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the Glazers being the preferred bidder, the Qatari banker could lose out.
Despite this, he remains determined to buy into the Premier League.
Spanish outlet El País has claimed he has West Ham in his sights should he miss Man Utd.
According to the report, the Qatar Investment Bank, led by the Sheikh, is now “starting to look at other ways of entering the Premier League”.
It continued: “Your first alternative is to buy West Ham, which, along with Tottenham, is the club with the most fans.” [stadium capacity] in London.
“West Ham guarantee a full house every weekend.”
Sheikh Jassim’s latest offer for Man Utd is said to be around £5bn for a full purchase.
This comes after Avram Glazer was pictured leaving a hotel owned by Sheikh Jassim’s father, Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani.

Meanwhile, Ratcliffe’s offer would result in Ineos being given a majority stake in the Old Trafford club rather than full control.
The offer from Nice owners, said to be worth just under £6billion, would also result in owners Joel and Avram Glazer retaining a minority stake in the club.
West Ham aren’t the first club to be named as a potential suitor for Sheikh Jassim. Earlier this week there were reports that Tottenham were also on his radar.
