Shane Warne’s private funeral plans have been confirmed ahead of state funerals at MCG later this month

A PRIVATE funeral for Shane Warne will take place on Sunday attended by his family and closest friends.
Warne died of a suspected heart attack at a resort in Thailand earlier this month at the age of 52.

Many tributes have been paid to the cricket legend since his death and his family welcomed some of his former teammates and media colleagues to a private funeral.
Former fiancee Elizabeth Hurley is also expected to fly to Australia for the ceremony.
Loving fans of Warne and other celebrities, including Australian prime minister Scott Morrison, will say goodbye to the icon on March 30 at the MCG in Warnie’s hometown of Melbourne.
The Grand Arena, home to Warne’s iconic 700th test stick, will welcome 50,000 fans to the state funeral.
And given Warne’s popularity, a vote will be held to decide who gets the ticket.
Other cricket stadiums across the country will feature the event on the big screens – in both Sydney and Adelaide.
The memorial service will also be streamed live for the Australian public to pay their respects to the all-time great.
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, a friend of Warne, and Ed Sheeran are expected to send video messages to be played onscreen at the MCG.
This week, Warne confirmed that Warne will have a stand named after him at his beloved MCG.
Warne’s mentor Lianne Young has revealed that the former cricketer is happy and eager to spend time with her children.
She said that Warne thought he was 30 years ahead of him with the former cameraman planning to get back in shape at the time of his death.
