Shadow and Bone season 2 won’t come to Netflix in March 2022

Balls and bones season 2 is a highly anticipated Netflix release. The second season of the hit fantasy series will immerse viewers in events that fit the plot of Siege and Stormthe second book in Leigh Bardugo’s Balls and bones series.

Last year, this Netflix Original took the internet by storm as book-to-screen adaptations of best-selling series tend to do just that. Longtime fans, and newcomers alike, fell in love with Alina Starkov, Dregs, and of course, villain Darkling.

Regardless of what IMDb shows, we’re wary of saying with certainty that fans can expect to see season 2 this year. Typically, post-production for a series can take anywhere from six to eight months. When special effects are taken into account, post-production lasts longer.

Given the gifts some characters have and the fantasy world they’re a part of, it’s likely post-production on Balls and bones season 2 can run through the typical window. If filming ends in July, that will only be a few short months before the end of December. We doubt that the second season will be ready in time to land on Netflix later this year.
