Secrets of transformation ahead of Floyd Mayweather fight are revealed in Deji’s stunning TWO STONE weight loss

YOUTUBE boxing star Deji has suffered an incredible TWO STONE weight loss thanks to a rigorous strength and conditioning program.

The social media influencer weighed 14.6 pounds on the night he was struck by TikToker Vinnie Hacker in July 2021 after being stopped on his feet.

But in August, on his fourth try, Deji finally won his first fight by defeating American Fousey after weighing 12st 2lb.

His transformation showed not only in his physique but also in his skills as he defeated Fousey in three rounds, knocking him out in the process.

And it somehow got him an unthinkable eight-round exhibition fight against boxing legend Floyd Mayweather on Sunday.

One of the men behind Deji’s impressive turnaround is S&C trainer Leon Wills, who also works with his brother KSI and 6-0 pro boxer Viddal Riley.

And Wills admits ahead of Deji’s fight with Mayweather in Dubai it wasn’t plane sailing when he teamed up with the insecure YouTuber.

Wills told SunSport, “When I first got him, I was like, ‘I don’t know if this guy’s up for it, I don’t know if he has the drive or the motivation.’

“I didn’t know if he could swim in the deep waters I was going to take him to, so that was the problem.

“But he knew I was judging him, so he knew he had to give everything and more than what he wanted to give just to please me.”

Wills began working with 25-year-old Deji on KSI’s undercard the last month before his eventual win over Fousey, 32.

It came after back-to-back losses at Jake Paul, 25, and Alex Wassabi, 32, where fitness was perhaps his biggest downfall.

Wills said: “I wanted to make sure he had the engine and the mindset because when you’ve had three losses you’re down.

“So I had to mentally build him up and basically rewire his mind, that was the main goal.

“I went to his house, watched extra studies with him, watched boxing, did drills, repeat, repeat, repeat.”

When Wills got his hands on Deji, he realized it was time for tough love, revealing that the secret to her success was simply hard work.

He said: “Deji has to do the non-negotiable things. The push-ups, the abs, the runs. And then in boxing everything builds up.

“With Deji, because he has no athletic background, he was just a YouTuber, on his computer sitting at home, I have to give him a more vigorous schedule than other athletes.

“With Viddal I can easily do three to four S&C sessions a week, with Deji it has to be five to six S&C sessions just to break with what he’s had.

“I have to put him through a lot, it’s tough but it’s more of a mental thing now.”

In Will’s second fight with Deji, he prepares him to share the ring with one of the greatest boxers alongside head trainer Daley Perales.

They travel to Dubai ahead of a show with Mayweather, 45, at the Coca-Cola Arena knowing they have nothing to lose.

Wills said, “This is just an exhibition, it’s not a title fight.

“Deji will be the least experienced boxer to ever share the ring with a world champion, let alone Floyd.

“So for Deji it’s just a learning curve, go in, try new things, just learn, enjoy the moment and when you get out of here go back to your YouTube boxing realm.”
