Season 2 of Ginny and Georgia is not coming to Netflix in September 2022

We’re more than ready to see Ginny and Georgia Season 2 released on Netflix. It’s been over a year since Season 1 was canceled and we’ve tried very hard to be patient. Unfortunately, the wait is not over yet. We looked at the list of Netflix new releases for September and Ginny and Georgia Season 2 was noticeably missing from the lineup.

We’re not exactly surprised that season two isn’t coming this month, given that the show has only been in post-production for a little over four months. Netflix series typically spend six to eight months in post-production before they are ready to watch. However, there are some instances where Netflix shows have spent less than six months in post-production. It’s just not that common.

Unfortunately, we have no confirmation on this from Netflix Ginny and Georgia Season 2 will be released in 2022. However, TVLine reported that the second season could be released by the end of the year. TVLine said: “Maybe, just maybe, [Ginny and Georgia season 2] will hit your screens at the end of 2022. Maybe.” Again, nothing has been confirmed yet.

However, it looks like we’ll see season two in 2022, based on an Instagram post from the official Ginny and Georgia Instagram account behind the scenes.

Ginny and Georgia season 2 updates

On August 11th, the Ginny and Georgia The behind-the-scenes Instagram account posted a photo showing the creative team hard at work editing the episodes for Season 2 in post-production. But it was the caption that got us pumped about the show’s return.

The caption reads, “So close to being finished I can taste it.” While no release date or release window has been announced, it still gives us hope that Season 2 could arrive before the end of 2022. Honestly, a 2022 release would make the most sense. Six to eight months in post-production would place the release date somewhere between October and December 2022. More than eight months just seems unnecessarily long. But it’s possible that Netflix could pause season two until early 2023 to keep up with a February release. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
