PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — One of the signs here in Pittsburgh is that warmer weather is on the way. The PNC carousel at Schenley Plaza opened on Monday.
It’s the 16th season of the carousel.
It shows not only the traditional horses, but also a camel, an elephant, a giraffe and other animals. They are intended to symbolize the diversity of Pittsburgh.
You need a token to ride the carousel. It costs $2 per ride.
You can buy them with a credit card at a kiosk or get them for cash at the nearby Asia Tea House Restaurant.
Rides are free if you have a SNAP/ACCESS card.
To buy a season pass, visit the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy website here.
