And it speaks volumes for the Zelenskyi regime that it was one of the first to offer aid to Turkey after the apocalyptic earthquake.

His country is fighting for its life, besieged by missiles and tanks, its citizens slaughtered, its own buildings destroyed – yet willing to spare saviors for another stricken nation.

The scenes from Turkey and Syria are heartbreaking. Up to 10,000 likely dead. Apartment blocks like. Families crushed while they slept.

We must do what we can. About 76 British special rescuers were due to arrive in Turkey last night.

But the survivors and the vast numbers of displaced people will need all the help we can muster.

MILITANT Health union bosses misinterpret government.

It’s not shaking. It refuses to be pushed by strikes to offer more than taxpayers can afford.

And we don’t see how summoning billions we don’t need to give NHS staff a far bigger rise than the recommended Independent Payroll Board will collapse the service and leave people dying.

The strikes themselves are making this precarious situation worse by the day.

Adults in the trade union movement should accept that there are limits as our finances are half ruined by Covid and war. Has anyone seen such adults?

We do not have. We don’t see many in the Labor Party either. Their shrill clamor for No10 to negotiate is a smokescreen.

Because without tax increases or spending cuts, neither of which they would accept, they wouldn’t have any more money either.

Thankless escape

WE will shed few tears when a people smuggler is jailed, even if he has smuggled illegal migrants out of the UK.
