FOOTAGE captured the terrifying sighting of a massive great white shark swimming under a group of paddlers.
A video posted on Reddit showed how close the animal was to shore as viewers watched in shock.
The shark’s eerie outlines could be seen as it stalked the thin boards in scenes reminiscent of Jaws.
But luckily for those nearby, it decided to keep swimming when the short clip came to an end.
The user responsible for the post claimed that this was simply a “normal” occurrence for regular paddleboarders in certain parts of the world.
It came as other users commented on how calm viewers were as the giant beast walked by.
“How are these people so quiet?! There’s a shark in the water,” one exclaimed.
A second wrote: “Nevertheless a great sight. I would love to see a shark up close.”
While a third added: “Such a beautiful creature. “A big boy too. But I wouldn’t want to go swimming.”
The footage comes just a day after a panicked paddler filmed his terrifying experience at the mercy of a giant tiger shark chasing turtles beneath him.
The video showed the Aussie Brodie Moss being thrown into the sea after the predator accidentally bit his board.
Luckily he was unharmed in the melee.
He wrote on Instagram alongside the video: “A humiliating reminder to myself that it’s her ocean and I’m just a visitor!
“I love sharks and that little accident wasn’t the big guy’s fault.”
The viral video was filmed in Western Australia – specifically one of the world’s hotspots for shark attacks on humans.
In November 2020, a bodyboarder was killed near Broome, the eighth fatal attack that year.
A year later, British father Paul Millachip was beaten to death while swimming in Freemantle.
There were claims that he was attacked by a great white and a tiger shark at the same time.
In February this year, a British diving instructor was killed by a 15-foot white man in Sydney.
Experts say most victims are bitten when the sharks mistake them for prey like seals.
