Saudi Arabia star Ali Al-Bulayhi reveals what he shouted at Lionel Messi after the 2-1 win over Argentina

SAUDI ARABIA defender Ali Al-Bulayhi has revealed what he yelled at Lionel Messi after his side’s second goal against Argentina.

The big underdogs provided one of the biggest surprises at a World Cup with a 2-1 win over the Copa America champions on Tuesday.

Argentina took the lead from a Messi penalty before two Saudi goals within five minutes early in the second half turned the game upside down.

And immediately after Argentina fell behind, Al-Bulayhi decided to turn around and yell at Messi instead of celebrating with the rest of his teammates.

He punched the Paris Saint-Germain striker hard in the back to get Messi’s attention.

And now, as he confirmed after the game, he aggressively took on the Barcelona legend before shouting: “You’re not going to win, you’re not going to win!”

Papu Gomez and Lautaro Martinez came over and pushed Al-Bulayhi away from Messi, but not before the Saudi centre-back snapped his own jersey to show his national pride.

And Argentina couldn’t prevent their prediction from becoming a reality in the 53rd minute as Saudi Arabia successfully held on to claim a truly remarkable victory in the World Cup opener.

In the other game of the group, Mexico drew with Poland.

One of the favorites before the tournament, Argentina, bottom of Group C, goes into the second round.

Argentina now meet Mexico on Saturday in what is practically a competitive match.

After the game, Messi said: “We knew that [Saudi] Arabia is a team with good players who move the ball well and take the line very far forward. We’re working on it, but we’re speeding it up a bit.

“There are no excuses. We will be more united than ever. This group is strong and they showed it.

“It’s a situation we haven’t had to go through in a long time. Now we have to show that this is a real group.

“It’s a very hard blow for everyone, we didn’t expect to start like this. Everything happens for a reason.

“We have to prepare for what’s coming, we have to win or win and it depends on us.

“We need to get back to the base of who we are. We have to think about what is to come.”
