San Carlos Park accident leaves young girl hospitalized with serious injuries

Deputies from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Highway Patrol were at a home along Phlox Drive in San Carlos Park. An accident that seriously injured a child happened there.

The crime scene tape is blocking the driveway of the house.

Soldiers said a collision with injuries occurred in the area of ​​Phlox Dr. and Captiva Blvd, where the house is located.

Soldiers told WINK News a vehicle hit a girl in that area. The child was transported to the hospital and is in critical condition.

San Carlos Park Fire and Rescue told WINK that the girl was 9 years old. She was taken to Gulf Coast Medical Center south of Fort Myers.

This accident is still under investigation.
