Netflix just announced that elite Season 6 arrives on November 18th. Along with the release date announcement, the streamer revealed which cast members will be returning and leaving, who will be joining the cast, and what season six will be about.

Were we surprised to find out elite Season 6 coming out at the end of the year? Yes, because new seasons of elite usually appear once a year. elite Season 5 was released earlier this year, so we figured season 6 would be out sometime next year. But we’re not complaining. Two seasons in one year is a pleasant surprise, and we’re excited for Season 6, especially after things ended in the shocking Season 5 finale.

spoilers off elite Season 5 Ahead!

If you recall, Season 5 ends with Samuel possibly dead after banging his head hard on the concrete during his poolside fight with Benjamin. He faints while his friends Rebe and Omar hold him down. This led viewers to believe that Samuel might be dead. However, a body bag was never shown, nor was a funeral. So there was hope that Samuel could pull through and that he would be there elite season 6

Now that the full cast list for Season 6 has been announced and the synopsis has been released, we have confirmation as to whether or not Samuel will be in it elite Season 6 and if he lives.

Will Samuel be in Elite Season 6?

Unfortunately, Samuel will not be in the upcoming sixth season. The Netflix press release for elite Season 6 reveals Samuel’s fate in the official synopsis. According to TVLine, the synopsis reads: “Following Samuel’s death, Las Encinas faces a new school year in an attempt to make a facelift by covering up past disasters. However, the conflict in his classrooms is systemic: racism, sexism, domestic violence or LGTBI phobia are just some of the difficult topics that will walk the halls of the prestigious institution this season. If those running the system aren’t actively taking action to address these issues, it must be the students themselves who are doing so.”

Unfortunately, it looks like Samuel has succumbed to his injuries. It’s unclear how they’ll handle Samuel’s death in season six, but we know it will affect those closest to him.

Who won’t be in Elite Season 6?

We hate to report more bad news to fans of the series, but more characters won’t be returning. Omar (Omar Ayuso), Rebeka (Claudia Salas) and Cayetana (Georgina Amorós) will not be in the sixth season. They were noticeably absent from the recurring cast list in the press release. If you watched the release date announcement video, you’ll see that they weren’t included either.

Although it’s sad that Rebeka, Omar and Cayetana won’t be there elite Season 6, it’s not surprising at all. Their stories pretty much wrapped up in Season 5. And with Samuel gone, they probably wouldn’t want anything to do with Las Encinas or anyone else.

  • André Lamoglia as Ivan
  • Valentina Zenere as Isadora
