The huge 923MB update should soon be available as an option for UK and US users after it was originally announced in Korea.

It expands the photo capabilities of the Galaxy S23 series with a number of improvements, including faster picture taking and better stability.

However, Tom’s Guide noted that images may now be captured too quickly, even before the camera has finished focusing on the subject.

But users can easily adjust their settings using the Camera Assistant app, available on the Galaxy Store.

The upgrade has improved two of the most requested features on phones right now: video stabilization and high image quality when shooting in the dark.

With the update, users in Super Steady will see a pop-up warning that they need a brightly lit subject for the photo to work properly.

Samsung also fixed some bugs that Galaxy S23 owners had.

If you noticed a green line when taking photos, this should go away with the new update.

Likewise, the banding that occurs when photographing the sky in medium to low light in the higher resolution 50MP mode or 200MP mode of the Galaxy S23 Ultra – this too is fixed in the new update.

The Gallery app also changes slightly to allow you to delete photos while your phone is processing them.

This saves time and battery when you’re waiting for your device to load all the details of an image you know you want to delete.

The update runs under the name S91xNKSU1AWC8, so keep your eyes open.
