Saints Announce Trevor Siemian As Week 9 QB1 Over Taysom Hill

SALT LAKE CITY – New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton introduced Trevor Siemian because the staff’s beginning quarterback for Week 9 over former BYU star Taysom Hill.

Payton declared the previous Denver Broncos signal-caller because the Saints’ QB1 on Friday, November 5.

Regardless of not beginning at quarterback, Hill will play towards the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, November 7, in accordance with the top coach.

The previous BYU quarterback will function Siemian’s backup alongside Notre Dame product Ian Guide.

Hill returned to apply this week after struggling a concussion on October 10. He has missed New Orleans’ final two video games.

Saints starter Jameis Winston suffered a season-ending knee harm throughout Week 8.

Payton confirmed that Winston had a torn ACL that occurred in the course of the first half of New Orleans’ win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Halloween. Siemian changed Winston and led the Saints to a win over the Bucs.

Winston beat out Hill for the Saints QB1 job throughout coaching camp.
