SAC_2045 season 2 coming to Netflix?

During the Netflix Anime Day celebrations, the streaming service confirmed that the new season will be released on May 23, 2022. Section 9 of Public Safety will face a new threat to humanity.

Following the mysterious cliffhanger in Season 1, Season 2 continues with the battle between a “post-human” threat to humanity and Section 9’s public safety. Netflix promises fans will appreciate the polished 3DCG and the “heartbreaking, suspenseful story” presented until the next batch of episodes.

Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 Season 2 Release Time on Netflix

As previously mentioned, the show will return on Monday, May 23rd. Netflix content will be deleted at 12:00 PM PT / 3:00 PM ET. If you live in the Midwest, the new season is available at 2:00 PM CT. We don’t have an exact number of episodes for the new season, but season 1 consisted of 12 episodes, so it seems likely that the new season will have as many episodes as well. The episodes are directed by Shinji Aramaki and Kenji Kamiyama.
